Why Can't I Connect My GitHub Account?

GitHub authentication may fail if the GitHub account you're trying to connect is already linked to another RepoVox account.

Understanding the Issue

When you log in using GitHub OAuth, we use your GitHub ID to associate your account on RepoVox. If that GitHub ID is already connected to a different email or RepoVox profile:

  • You won't be able to log in.
  • Or, you may be logged into the wrong account unexpectedly.

Make sure you're not using the same GitHub account across multiple RepoVox signups. Each GitHub account can be linked to only one RepoVox user.

To fix the issue:

  1. Log out of any active GitHub sessions from the browser.
  2. Clear cookies for repovox.com to remove cached sessions.
  3. Log in again using the same GitHub account you previously connected.
  4. If you're trying to switch GitHub accounts:
    • Log out of both GitHub and RepoVox.
    • Sign in again with the desired GitHub account.

Still stuck? Contact us at repovox.official@gmail.com with the GitHub username you're trying to connect.
